“ The portions are crazy!! The amount of meat in the burger and sandwich were so insane. If you typically don't have a large appetite I would highly suggest getting one burger or sandwich and the cheese fries to split between 2 people. It's pretty rare that I get pleasantly surprised by American food, but THESE FRIES!!??? WHY WASNT ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THE FRIES???? These were so good. They are crispy, so yummy, great toppings mixed together like seriously oh my god you just need to get the fries tbh ”
“ This is all about the experience. From the second you walk in, you feel the character of this food/drink/and music establishment. It is as unique as the scenery outside. The photos help tell the story. There was a band doing a long sound check and warm up. So we got a taste of live music. The decor throughout played up the old west/desert vibes. And the menu offerings fit well: with tritip steaks, bison burgers, ribs and more. I would definitely recommend checking this out if you're in the Joshua tree area for a unique experience. ”
“ We are traveling from sea to shining sea - CT to CA - and on day trip to Joshua Tree NP - a suggestion to stop at Pioneertown and this joint was great recommendation My preconceived notion - it is probably a tourist trap .... But we had a legit lunch experience. The vibe was great - service was friendly and efficient, beer was cold ... and BBQ was nice. We don't get tri tip in northeast- but It is great. Worthy part of our day trip to nearby Joshua Tree NP ”
“ Cody A was amazing. Even though it was really busy he found time to engage with everyone with a smile. All orders were brought on time and perfect. The person next to us had ordered a tritip sandwich and the meat was too thick for a sandwich. Cody A went to the back and cut the meat himself. Going a step above. we all agreed that he really should be Manager. He really cares about the patrons experience. Again, Amazing!! Not many like him anymore. ”
“ I've always wanted to come to Pioneertown. I've never been to a working movie set, and I've always heard great things. We decided to come to Pappy & Harriet's after a recommendation from a friend. And we weren't disappointed. The place embodies what I would imagine the Wild West to be. The inside has multiple bars and western influences on the walls. The patio, which is dog friendly, is very large. It seats 102 people. Not 100, 102 lol. We were there early, so the patio wasn't busy at all. You could see the cooks smoking the various meats on the outside grills. We ordered the breakfast burrito, the BLTA and the burger. I haven't had a BLT in years, and it really hit the spot. The burger was massive but very tasty. The burrito was ok, not my favorite. I'm glad that I can finally check this off the SoCal bucket list. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique experience! ”
“ Super impressed by Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown! There were tons of people there during lunch rush and the predicted wait time was initially 35 min for us but we got seated in less than 10 min! Their restaurant was so spacious and had tons of seating. Their cocktails were delicious and a decent price at $14 (especially for California prices). Both my husband and I got their Mac and cheese and hands down our favorite...so ooey gooey and cheesy! I had their fried cod sandwich and it was also fantastic. Definitely check this place out! ”
